Layers
Project Context
Layers is a residential rental brand designed around flexibility, individuality, and shared community. The brand needed to speak to modern renters looking for more than an apartment — a place that could adapt to different lifestyles while still feeling connected as one community.
Design Approach
I created a visual identity system built around many individual parts coming together to form a richer whole. A dynamic mosaic language, layered color system, and flexible graphic structure translate the experience of communal living into a system that feels modular, energetic, and scalable.

Brand Concept
The concept is built around layers — different people, routines, stories, and spaces overlapping to create a more vibrant living experience. This idea became the foundation for the entire visual system.
Visual System
The identity uses modular color blocks and layered compositions to represent the many parts of the community. The system is structured enough to feel consistent, but flexible enough to change across different applications.
Brand Applications
The identity was extended across digital, print, and branded touchpoints to show how the system could scale. The mosaic, typography, color, and layout language work together to create a cohesive brand world.
Color Palette
The color palette was designed to express variety and movement. Instead of relying on a single brand color, the system uses multiple tones to represent different personalities, lifestyles, and moments within the building.
Community Storytelling
The visual system gives the brand a way to talk about resident diversity and shared experience without becoming abstract. Each layer represents individuality, while the full system communicates connection and belonging.
Digital Experience
The mosaic system was designed to work beyond static branding. Online, it becomes a way to organize content, create movement, and guide users through the brand experience, making the identity feel interactive and connected to the way people explore the property.
Website Applications
The website applications use modular layouts, layered content blocks, and bold color to make the rental experience feel more engaging. The design helps organize amenities, lifestyle messaging, and property information in a way that feels clear and distinctive.
Layers demonstrates how a residential brand can move beyond standard real estate design and become a flexible visual system rooted in concept. By turning the idea of layered living into a modular identity, the project shows my ability to build branding that is strategic, scalable, and visually distinctive across multiple touchpoints.
